View from The Mountain Top
Reflecting while sitting on the front porch...
Reflecting on this 57th anniversary of the March on Washington, I was seven years old when I first heard Dr. King speak about going to the mountaintop, that Seed deep within me saw his vision and how he saw the world as it could be. Every since I heard that speech that Vision has never left me, even in these turbulent times I continue to reflect back to that vision. That Vision has given me the strength to carry-on until my 64th birthday and now it still carries me deep within my soul.
Since that time I had the pleasure of meeting Chief Frank Fools Crow on the Sioux reservation...as I sat with him he told me about going to the mountaintop. In his description of asking the Great Spirit who I was and why I was coming to him...he said coming back down the mountain trail a sacred flower fell into his path and that was when my CB handle as an over the road driver became “Sacredflower “. He helped me to understand that I wasn’t just any flower in Gods garden but that I was a sacred flower and that I must travel this path of unfolding.
Upon reflection I came across the path of my guru from India and his name is Sadhguru. He also in his journey went upon the mountain and in his stillness the universe opened up to him to see the oneness of everything and everyone which has taken him on his continual journey to change the lives of all those that crosses his path. To help them to understand that it is the connection we make on the mountaintop that helps us to have a clearer vision.
In conclusion I have come to realize in stillness and taking ourselves to that place on the mountaintop...not only can we see clearer but we can truly envision all that there is for each of us and the part that we play in this ever unfolding, evolving world of ours. It is on that mountain top that our realities will be made real. Peace to each one of you on this journey and may the vision be made clear along your way.
