Hate Is A Choice
Today, November 9, 2024 is the first day that I’ve been able to articulate my feelings since November 6, 2024. I woke up at 2:30 in the morning November 6 to have to go to the hospital for a family emergency that lasted three days and the aftermath is not over yet. I woke up to the possible outcome of the most important election in America since I was born 68 years ago. It was not the results that I had hoped for that I had worked for my entire life not only by the way I lived my life, but actively being involved in the race unity work in this country all my life. My life was touched and forever changed at eight years old when I heard the words and the voice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his speech the message from his view on the mountain top of what our society could become set itself in my heart and soul to strive for this destiny of America and I still believe in his vision.
